PRIVACY STATEMENT

  1. INTRODUCTION

    Site78 bvba, Hoogstraat 78 in 2870 Puurs-Sint-Amands (hereinafter "Site78"), considers the protection of your privacy to be important. We therefore strive to process your personal data in a legal, fair and transparent manner.

    When collecting and processing your personal data, we respect the Belgian legislation on the protection of personal data as well as the General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR").

    In this Privacy Statement, we explain what information we collect about you, what we use it for and to whom we disclose it. You will also find in this Privacy Statement what rights you have and how you can exercise them.

    In short, our privacy statement means that we will use your personal data:
    - Only use them for purposes agreed with you;
    - Not sell it;
    - Protect it with care.

  2. TERMS IN THIS PRIVACY STATEMENT

    - Personal data': personally identifiable information that directly or indirectly says something about you as a person (name, address, telephone number, etc.).
    - Processor': the 'owner' of certain Personal Data. This can be Site78 itself or a third party.
    - Processor': the person who actually processes the data. This can be Site78 (as a service provider) or a third party that processes data from Site78.


  3. WHICH PERSONAL DATA DO WE PROCESS?

    Site78 processes your personal data because you use our services and/or because you provide this data to us yourself.

    Site78 processes personal data of natural persons with whom we have or have had a direct or indirect relationship or wish to have a relationship in the future.

    This includes the personal data of its guests, the contact persons specified by its guests and suppliers, but also the contact persons of its potential guests and the personal data of potential employees.

    Site78 may collect or obtain the following personal data from you:
    - Identity data (name, address, e-mail address, mobile phone number, E-ID data)
    - Data relating to your communication with the company (visits, telephone calls)
    - Data relating to invoicing (VAT number, bank account number)
    - Data relating to your curriculum vitae (in the context of a job application)
    - Complaints you make or requests you make to us
    - Surveillance images


  4. WHY DO WE PROCESS PERSONAL DATA?

    Site78 processes personal data for various purposes:

    - Providing our services to guests:
    We process identity and contact details of our guests, clients, their employees and other useful contacts in order to execute the agreement with our guests. We also keep records of when and how we communicate with our guests.

    The purpose of these processes is our customer management. These processes are necessary for the execution of the agreement with our guest and allow us to make a stay in our B&B/resto very pleasant.

    - Financial administration:
    We process identity and invoice data in order to maintain our own accounting and invoicing. On the one hand, this processing is part of our legitimate interest, namely the possibility to keep our administration and to obtain payment for the services we provide. On the other hand, Site78 has a legal obligation to keep its books.

    - Maintaining our customer relationship:
    Site78 wishes to maintain its customer relationship. For this reason we may use your contact details to keep you informed of our activities or to invite you to events.

    Sending such mailings to our customers is part of our legitimate interest and is also in the interest of our guests. It will always be possible to unsubscribe from such mailings.

    - Direct Marketing:
    Site78 processes identity and contact details of prospects for the purpose of direct marketing. It is part of our legitimate interest to process contact details of possible new guests. If Site78 should send out/organise newsletters, surveys or competitions, this shall always be based on the consent of the (possible) guest.

    - Recruitment purposes:
    Site78 collects personal data for the purpose of recruiting new employees. This processing finds its legal basis in the consent of the candidate-employee on the one hand and our legitimate interest in recruiting the suitable candidate for a position on the other hand.

    - Camera surveillance:
    When you visit our premises, you may be filmed by our security cameras as part of the general security of Site78.

    This processing is part of our legitimate interests, which are always weighed against your interests.


  5. ACCESS BY AND TRANSMISSION TO THIRD PARTIES

    Site78 does not sell your data to third parties and only provides them if this is necessary for the execution of our agreement with you or to comply with a legal obligation. Such recipients of your personal data may only use them for the execution of the agreement between you and us. They are not entitled to use the data for other purposes.

    If we use third parties to process your data, we will ensure that these parties provide sufficient guarantees regarding the protection of your personal data.


  6. DURATION OF PROCESSING

    Site78 shall not keep your personal data longer than is reasonably necessary for the purposes as stated in this privacy statement.


  7. CONFIDENTIALITY AND SECURITY

    Site78 undertakes to use its best efforts to take all reasonable measures to guarantee the protection of your personal data by means of technical security measures to prevent abuse, loss, unauthorised access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorised changes as much as possible.

    The personal data provided to Site78 shall be stored by Site78 on servers located in Belgium or the European Union.


  8. YOUR RIGHTS

    You have various rights concerning the personal data that we process. You can exercise these rights by contacting us using the contact details stated in point 8.

    Within the framework of our identification obligation, we may ask you to provide us with a copy of your identity card.

    We will respond to your request as quickly as possible, and in any event within 4 weeks.

    Right of inspection and correction

    If you would like to know what personal data Site78 processes about you and for what purposes, you can contact us. You can also request that we correct any incorrect personal data or change your data.

    Right of deletion and restriction

    You have the right to ask us to delete your personal data. It is possible that certain data will be retained by Site78 after your request for deletion, for example because we have a legal obligation to retain the data for a certain period of time.

    If you have good reason to do so, you can ask us to limit the processing of your personal data. For example, because you dispute the accuracy of your data.

    Right to object

    If the processing of your personal data is based on our legitimate interest or is part of the fulfilment of a task of general interest or public authority, you can object to the processing of your personal data in a substantiated manner.

    Right to data portability

    If we process your personal data on the basis of your (explicit) permission or in the framework of the execution of the agreement between you and us, you can request us to deliver the personal data you have provided to us in a structured, common and machine-readable form or to transfer them to another data controller, on the condition that the processing is carried out by automated means.

    Right to withdraw your consent

    If the processing of your personal data by Site78 is based on your (explicit) consent, you have the right to withdraw this consent at any time. However, the withdrawal of your permission shall not affect the lawfulness of the processing prior to the withdrawal of your permission.

    Right to lodge a complaint

    You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian supervisory authority if you have a complaint regarding the use of your personal data by Site78.
